Heart Breaking, Soul Shaking at Holiday Time? Grievers Unite. One Thing’s for Sure. You’re Not Alone

If you have been following my blogs on my website or Facebook page, you know that I blogged about Thanksgiving and gratefulness and gatherings two weeks ago.

Having sat with clients for these several weeks as we enter the “holiday season,” working through sadness, fear, confusion and a whole bowl of assorted emotions piling one upon another, I find myself at a (rare) loss for new words to give.

I want those who are grieving the loss of a loved one to know that the holiday season can be difficult, and is very unique for those experiencing grief. However, it can be navigated, you’ll survive it. You are not alone. At any given time, there are multitudes of people who are mourning the loss of a loved one.

The words that I will be giving you in today’s blog are from elephantjournal.com.

This is a great website, filled with great readings about relationships, life, death, dating, marriage, friendships, self-care, and all topics about “living”. It's contributors speak authentically, and are always worth a read.

Here are three selections about holidays for those who are grieving during the holidays. Each writer gives his/her own perspective and it may resonate with you.
